Albany, NY (Sports Network) - The American Hockey League's Albany River Rats announced on Monday that center Dwight Helminen has been recalled to their NHL affiliate, the Carolina Hurricanes. Helminen was recalled on an emergency basis after rookie center Brandon Sutter suffered an injury during the Hurricanes' 4-3 win over the New York Islanders Saturday night.
